Welcome to ConnectNetwork, your one-stop resource for connecting and communicating with your loved ones.

Life can be challenging when a friend or loved one is incarcerated — challenging for the individual on the inside and for you on the outside. But it’s easier when you face it together.

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC), ViaPath Technologies (ViaPath) d/b/a of Global Tel*Link Corporation (GTL)1, and JPay are committed to creating a smooth transition of services over the course of 2022. This means continued service with as little disruption as possible for you and your incarcerated loved ones.

Phone Calling
  • Free Calling:
    • Effective April 4, 2021, incarcerated individuals at ODRC have three (3) free calls of up to 15-minutes every week.
  • Paid Calling Options:
    • AdvancePay: ConnectNetwork’s prefunded collect option, AdvancePay®, allows a friend or family member to set up a calling account to his/her specific phone number. This account can be used to fund every call that is made and accepted by the number associated with the account. Prefunded accounts can be set up for all types of numbers, including cell phones.
    • PIN Debit: ConnectNetwork’s PIN Debit calling option allows a friend or family member to fund so their incarcerated individual can place outbound calls to anyone in their support network, with or without an AdvancePay account. This type of account allows the incarcerated individual to manage their own phone account and call more than one person in their support network, as opposed to AdvancePay, which only allows your loved one to call the number associated with the account.

    • For international customers, please visit this page for additional information on setting up your account for international calling.
Trust

A Trust Fund allows an incarcerated individual to better adjust to life at their facility, as well as stay connected to the outside world. The money in a Trust Fund is used just like cash, allowing your loved one to make a variety of purchases at their facility’s commissary, including items such as food and clothing (items will vary by facility location). You can easily send money online  or with the ConnectNetwork mobile app for Android and iOS.

ATTENTION: Starting February 1, 2022, JPay will no longer be the Money Order provider for Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. This will transfer to TouchPay Holdings, LLC d/b/a GTL Financial Services (GTLFS)2. Family and friends will be able to mail a money order by completing the deposit form that can be found at our Ways to Pay page. Any money orders that JPay may receive after March 1, 2022, will be returned to sender with instructions on how to send to GTLFS.

Visitation Scheduling

Visitation Scheduling allows families and friends to schedule a video visit ahead of time through our “Visit Me” visitation platform. Visitation Scheduling helps avoid missed conversations by ensuring both parties are available to connect. You can sign up for an account and conduct your scheduled video visits at: https://ohdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app.

Scheduling on your mobile device is also available through GTL’s VisMobile app for Android users. This app is not currently available for iOS.

The following tablet services will be rolled out on an ongoing basis. Availability may vary.

Tablets

Tablets allow incarcerated individuals access to multimedia services such as music, movies, audiobooks, newsfeed, and religious library content. Additional content and services, as determined by ODRC, may also be available.

Starting February 15, 2022, Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW) will be the pilot institution for the upgraded ViaPath tablets and applications. The timeline for the go-live at other institutions is tentatively scheduled for mid-May through November 2022, with one facility go-live per week. JPay tablets will no longer be available for purchase up to 90 days prior to your institution go-live (e.g., for ORW stop-sell effective January 21, 2022).

ViaPath will slowly turn on applications during the pilot phase. The week of February 15th – NEW tablets and training will be provided to the population (this will take 2-3 days).

When will the new ViaPath tablets be available?

Starting February 15, 2022, the upgraded ViaPath tablets and applications will be piloted at Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW). The timeline for the go-live at other institutions is tentatively scheduled for mid-May through November 2022, with one facility go-live per week.

Will JPay tablets and applications still be for sale?

JPay will continue to allow purchasing of tablets (up to 90 days prior to your institution go-live), media credits, music, etc. Any unused credits will not be refunded, so only purchase as you will use the credits. Thus, JPay will stop selling tablets to ORW effective January 21, 2022.

What happens to the JPay content after ViaPath tablets become available?

Incarcerated individuals will continue to have access to JPay tablets and JPay kiosks during this process. Content (except for games) will be transferred from JPay to ViaPath; this includes photos, e-messages, kites, grievances, videograms, and purchased music.

What services will be provided through the new ViaPath tablets?

ViaPath will be piloting enhanced tablet services such as music, movies, audiobooks, newsfeed, and religious library content. Additional services, such as messaging, photo sharing, video visitation, and more, will also become available in 2022.

How do I fund these new tablet services?

When the new tablets become available at your incarcerated individual’s facility, they can use their PIN Debit account to fund both their phone and tablet services. Their Debit Link account will no longer be available. Funds can be added to an individual’s PIN Debit account through ConnectNetwork.com.

NOTE: Do not fund this account prior to your institution’s planned go live date.

What if there are still funds in their Debit Link account?

Any remaining Debit Link funds will auto-migrate to the incarcerated individual’s PIN Debit account when the new tablets roll out at their facility. At that point, PIN Debit will fund both phone and tablet services.

How do I send money via Money Order?

Effective February 1, 2022, TouchPay Holdings, LLC d/b/a GTL Financial Services (GTLFS)2 will be the new Money Order provider for Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. On and after Feb. 1, family and friends will mail a money order by completing the deposit form that can be found at ConnectNetwork’s Ways to Pay page. Any money orders that JPay may receive after March 1, 2022, will be returned to the sender with instructions on how to send to GTLFS
